Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Cardiology RN with a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience for a hospital position requiring an Illinois RN license.
Details
- Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit providing direct care to post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00AM-7:30PM, three days per week
- 5-6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
- Holiday coverage via department rotation
- May float to like units
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and hourly rounding
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Maintain unit and hospital-based competencies and a clean, organized work environment
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13 week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
