Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring IL RN licensure, Level 1 Trauma experience, and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Dept of a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- No floating required
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to a designated group of ED patients utilizing the nursing process and current clinical standards
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient care
- Promote a safe environment by identifying and reporting safety hazards
- Collaborate with staff, patients, and families to support a healing work environment
- Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment longer than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
