Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Friday 9a-9:30p in the hospital CT department
• Saturday 7a-7p performing both CT and X-ray at the Sweetwater FED location
• Sunday 9a-9:30p in the hospital CT department
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with trauma and stroke cases required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification required
• Current State/District license required if applicable
• Active license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Must have prior work experience in a United States hospital in the specialty area
• Two manager or supervisor references required, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment and processors, analyzing body habitus to adjust technical factors and correctly position patients
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data to produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supplies, and managing contrast reactions and codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• Must live 100 miles or more from the facility, no local candidates accepted
