Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a mixed inpatient and outpatient hospital-based role requiring Saturday availability.

Details

• Combination of inpatient (25%) and outpatient (75%) settings
• Inpatient duties span ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, and SNF), and occasionally OB
• Extensive time spent in the hospital-based Outpatient PT Clinic
• Caseload of 5-15 patients per day, with visits spaced 30-45 minutes apart and new evaluations allotted one hour
• Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with a 12:00-1:00pm lunch, with some flexibility in hours
• Saturday availability required with no exceptions
• 32 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Active Hawaii PT license required, or ability to obtain one promptly
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of PT experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Must demonstrate independence and thorough care approaches across all outpatient diagnoses
• Knowledge of acute to SNF inpatient mobility progression and discharge planning required

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include PT evaluations and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Position located in a rural Kauai facility requiring self-sufficient clinical practice
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation required, covering HR, safety, risk & quality management, IT, and EMR training
• Orientation is split across two days, with the first covering HR and general orientation and the second focused on EMR training
