Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a Maternal Fetal Medicine unit, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN certification and recent EPIC experience.

Details

  • Maternal Fetal Medicine department within a large Level 1 trauma facility (579 beds) with two campus sites
  • Patient population includes OB/GYN, midwifery, and REI cases
  • Sees up to 8 patients per day (4 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon), with twin pregnancies counted as two scans
  • Performs fetal anatomy scans (routine and detailed), follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA dopplers, 1st trimester scans, pelvic scans, sonohystograms, and HyCoSy procedures
  • 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • No block schedules permitted

Requirements

  • ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential required
  • License required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Large, teaching hospital experience required
  • Experience in OB/GYN scanning including fetal anatomy, follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA dopplers, 1st trimester, pelvic, sonohystogram, and HyCoSy required
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
  • Prior travel experience required

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be able to work 2 of the 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Bi-weekly orientations with next available start date of 10/19
  • Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
  • All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles November through April
  • Accepts local candidates within 50 miles at local rate
  • Radius rate available for candidates living 51-100 miles away
  • Travel rate applies for candidates living 101+ miles away
