Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring 2 years of experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Unit staffed with 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
• Uses wound vac, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry equipment
• Charting completed in Meditech
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating between 2 North and 2 West required
• No guaranteed block scheduling

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, with no expiration within the first 30 days of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation required
• Lab draw and IV start experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg patients including wound care, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring
• Deliver a positive patient experience, addressing patient and family needs and escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed
• Navy scrub uniform required; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
