Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring 2+ years of OB experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the Obstetrics unit of a hospital setting
• Varied 12-hour shifts (3P-3A and 3A-3P), negotiable based on candidate preference discussed prior to acceptance
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to units within scope of practice and skill set is required
• Uses MediTech EMR

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Ability to function as 1st assist and scrub OB highly preferred
• Skills checklist pertinent to OB/GYN specialty, current within 1 year, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• Assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes
• Local candidates within a 45-mile radius of the facility are accepted at a reduced travel rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
