Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - ICU Float for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of critical care experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- Critical Care Float Pool position, floating to all critical care units within scope
- Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 3 years of critical care experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
- Recent ICU experience within the last year required
- Neuro ICU experience required plus an additional ICU specialty (MICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or CVICU)
- Academic/teaching facility experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required, with a competency test administered
- Required skills include ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Preferred skills include ICP monitoring and PA lines
- 2 references required at submission, from a direct supervisor (not a charge RN)
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing across neuro, surgical, trauma, and cardiovascular ICU settings as needed
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (holiday eve/day counts as one set); Christmas RTO not available
- RTO must be submitted prior to facility submission; additional RTO will not be granted after offer
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
- Prior UW/Harborview staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
- Scrubs may be any solid color; unit-provided light blue scrubs also available
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role
