Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 2 trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Acute care Level 2 trauma hospital setting in the CT/Radiology department
- Two GE CT scanners: a Revolution EVO APEX in the ED and a Revolution EVO in the main department
- Performs all CT exams except cardiac and perfusion studies, including inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases
- Average volume of 60-100 patients per day
- Uses Allscripts (BAR-based) EMR and Scimage PICOM PACS system
- Night shift schedule, Tuesday through Friday, 9-hour shifts from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- No floating to other departments required
- Weekday and weekend assignments available depending on contract
- On-call/standby as needed
- Radiologist on-site Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ARRT certification in CT required
- Must be able to start IVs
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Department has a Radiology Supervisor/Lead Tech on staff
- 4 hours of billable computer training modules required to be completed before 7 AM the Friday prior to start, delivered the week before
- Department-specific orientation occurs during weekday hours on the first shift
- Light grey scrubs required and provided
- Holiday coverage expectations vary based on contract and departmental need
