Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IN or compact RN license.
Details
- Acute care Med/Surg unit (4EA) with remote telemetry monitoring, 32 beds
- Telemetry monitored 24/7, applied only when ordered by physician
- Patient population includes stable vent and BiPAP patients, acute/chronic renal failure, dialysis, and fluid overload cases
- Cares for medical/surgical patients under internal medicine, family practice, and hospitalist services
- Administers IV drips including non-titrated Dopamine (5mcg constant rate for renal perfusion) and Heparin
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Administer and monitor specialized IV medications per unit protocols
- Collaborate with internal medicine, family practice, and hospitalist teams
- First-time travelers may be considered
