Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (R)(CT) certification and a New Jersey X-Ray license to work overnight shifts in a hospital radiology department.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department performing CT scanning procedures
• PM shift, Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 39 hours per week over 3 shifts of 13 hours each
• On-call and holiday coverage required
• Possible float to other Morristown locations or sister hospital nearby
• Uses PACS/RIS system and Epic charting
• Assigned to CT rooms 1, 2, or 3
• Handles code grey, trauma, and partial trauma cases requiring immediate imaging turnaround

Requirements

• ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certification required
• New Jersey State X-Ray License required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• HS diploma/GED and completion of a Radiographer Technical training program required
• CT registration and venipuncture skills preferred
• CPR certification mandatory
• Experience with contrast media administration and screening for allergies/medication incompatibilities
• Familiarity with QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications

Additional Information

• Responsible for obtaining medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to established protocols
• Communicates with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity
• Verifies patient identification and monitors patient condition before and after contrast injections
• Coordinates emergent and unscheduled procedure requests when assigned as Point staff
• Maintains inventory, cleanliness, and orderliness of CT rooms and equipment
• Notifies Lead or Coordinator of equipment malfunctions or expiring supplies
• Follows established protocols for immediate image acquisition, processing, and verification during Code Grey and trauma cases
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and hospital patient identification policies
• Accepts local candidates at a lower rate
