Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with cardiac monitoring experience and a WV or compact RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Utilizes Meditech charting system
- Performs on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
- Manages cardiac drips without titration
Requirements
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- Meditech charting experience required
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care/management
- Experience with phlebotomy and IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience with blood product administration and port accessing/management
- Experience with feeding tube care and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
- Experience with CVA (cerebrovascular accident) patient care
Additional Information
- Responsible for use of rapid response and code teams as needed
- Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Administers medications including heparin, insulin, and PCA
- Provides oxygen administration via nasal cannula and oxygen tanks
- Wound care/wound vac experience preferred
- Renal failure management experience preferred
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
