Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an outpatient imaging center requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification, with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

Outpatient imaging center setting with a mobile patient population
Frequent follow-up imaging for cancer diagnoses
Responsibilities include starting IVs, running I-STAT labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images
4x10 day shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
No Sundays or holidays required
May float within scope to provide X-ray coverage
Epic EMR used for charting
Scrubs provided and free parking available

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (CT) certifications required
Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
X-ray experience required in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
Preferred experience with neonates and infants
Preferred experience with fluoroscopy and enema studies
Preferred experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment and PACS
Skilled in peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, and contrast media preparation/administration
Epic charting experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Perform diagnostic CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, chest, brain, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
Located within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital system rated a top hospital in Alaska
May be asked to float between sister facilities within the region
First-time travelers are accepted
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
Former staff members may return after a 3-month waiting period
Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment
Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
