Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mother-Baby RN for a Nights shift position requiring NRP certification and Women's Services experience.
Details
- Mother Baby Unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 3+ years in Women's Services (L&D or Mom/Baby, couplet care in Level 1-3 settings)
- Experience with magnesium administration preferred
- 1-2 years of travel nursing experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Advanced Provider level required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to interventions and treatments
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must be completed promptly
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying afterward
