Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a high-volume acute care hospital requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• High volume, fast-paced CT department averaging 30-40+ scans per 12-hour shift
• Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, and Emergency Department patient populations
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and cardiac/vascular CT studies including coronary CTA and calcium scoring
• Uses GE and Toshiba CT equipment along with PACS and Fuji Synapse systems
• 3x12 hour shifts available in day (6:00-18:30) or night (17:45-6:15) rotations, with high need for graveyard shift
• Must be open to all shift times as specific shift requests cannot be accommodated
• Variable scheduling required, self-scheduling based on seniority
• Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units required
• May be required to perform own patient transport based on staffing needs
• Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Current BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT CT, CA CRT, and CT certifications required (ARRT CT or ARRT R accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
