Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 12-hour night shift assignment requiring prior travel experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 11 ICU beds
• Unit cares for a mix of ICU and telemetry-level patients
• Patient population includes CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, post-cath patients, and some surgical patients (vascular, abdominal, GI)
• Manages drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
• Performs chest tube care, wound vac management, dressing changes, and monitoring of femoral arterial sheaths
• Travelers will not pull femoral sheaths
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, with shift times of 1900-0730 or 0700-1930
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required at the ICU level or below throughout the hospital

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Experience with above-listed patient types and procedures required
• Art line, Impella, and/or IABP experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support across a combined ICU/telemetry unit
• Scrubs of any professional color are acceptable
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
