Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit position requiring at least 1 year of unit-specific experience and a compact or VA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 19:00-07:00
• Floating required to Intermediate Care and Med-Surg units, with travelers floating first as needed
• Floating conducted in accordance with Joint Commission standards, including orientation to the new unit

Requirements

• Active compact or VA RN license required in hand
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued BLS accepted)
• Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the unit specialty required, 2-3 years overall experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Biweekly orientation held on Mondays
• 8-10 hours of orientation modules required, completed during orientation and annually
• Scrub policy allows any color, professional prints, and lab coats; nicotine-free campus enforced
• Weekend and holiday rotation required in line with staff schedules
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with minimal time off requested during the first few weeks
• Former Centra employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
