Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rapid Response RN for a Pediatrics unit requiring PALS certification and prior pediatric hospital experience.
Details
- Combined Pediatrics and Oncology unit with 19 total beds (13 pediatric, 6 oncology)
- Day and night shifts each staffed with 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT
- Unit always staffed with at least 1 oncology nurse per day
- Patient ratios of 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5
- Uses Alaris pumps and Cerner EMR
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Floating required to PICU and NICU
- 6 weekend shifts required, including 2 Saturdays
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: PALS and BLS
- APHON certification required for oncology assignments
- 1 year of recent experience in pediatrics required
- Pediatric hospital experience required
- Pediatric oncology experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide rapid response nursing care within a combined pediatric and oncology unit
- Detail-oriented and organized personality fit preferred
- Dress code requires all navy blue or white scrub tops
- RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
