Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years experience and pediatric background for a Level III trauma center within the Yale New Haven Health System.

Details

• Short term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
• Evening (4x10, 14:45-0:45) and Night (4x10, 23:00-9:00) shift options
• 40 hours per week with 8 and/or 12 hour shifts based on department need
• At least every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating to Westerly Hospital as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• CRT certification required
• BLS required
• CT and RI state licenses required (can start with one pending as long as one is active)
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatrics experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric settings
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures such as bubble CPAP, CPAP/BIPAP, intubation assist, and umbilical blood gases preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene
• Free parking available
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemption only
• Travelers obligated to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Former staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
