Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN for a night shift position requiring PALS, BLS, and pediatric hospital experience.
Details
- Combined 19-bed Pediatrics and Oncology unit with 13 pediatric beds and 6 oncology beds
- Staffed with 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT per shift, with at least 1 oncology nurse on duty daily
- Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Uses Alaris pumps and Cerner EMR
- Floating required to PICU and NICU as needed
- Requires 6 weekend shifts with 2 falling on Saturdays
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or compact)
- Current BLS and PALS certification required
- APHON certification required for oncology assignments
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Pediatric hospital experience required
- Pediatric oncology experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across both pediatric and oncology patient populations
- Detail-oriented and organized candidates preferred
- Scrub color requirement: all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white
- Tobacco use prohibited on all campus properties including personal vehicles
- Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
