Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2 years of acute Hospital Case Management experience and an active CA RN license.
Details
- Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating between like units required based on facility need
- No call requirements
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Case Management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
- Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered with clinical approval
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with admission criteria, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations
- Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and The Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals
- 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review within an acute hospital setting
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local candidate rate eligibility
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including as permanent staff, travel contractor, or per-diem/registry
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day)
- Located near multiple state and national parks, offering access to coastal and forest recreational areas
- Facility offers housing assistance resources for travelers who need support finding accommodations
