Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg/Telemetry unit within an acute care, Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting
• 16-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating to other telemetry units may be required but is not typical
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with CBI, wound management, catheter care, and orthopedic patient care

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, wound management, catheter care, and orthopedic care
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Previous WVU Medicine permanent staff or travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers cannot work within the WVU system for longer than a cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
