Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT Advanced and CT certifications for a busy acute care hospital.

Details

• Outpatient and inpatient CT department serving ER, ICU, and community hospital patients
• Most patient volume comes from inpatient and ER cases with significant trauma exposure
• CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Additional procedures may include biopsies, drainages, aspirations, and brain perfusion studies
• GE equipment used, with Toshiba experience preferred
• Cerner charting system required; Epic experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, though start/end times may vary
• On-call requirement
• Weekend coverage possible but not typical
• No floating within scope or to sister facilities required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT Advanced certification, ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS required
• Community hospital and Level II trauma experience required
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts, contrast administration, and venipuncture required
• Experience with image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
• PACS experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working with adult ICU, ED, and complex patient populations
• Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with the Alaska Native population
• License required if applicable

• Performs a wide range of CT procedures across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Works with complex patient cases involving significant social history and domestic violence considerations
• Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 152 staffed beds
• Scrubs of any color or pattern permitted, except in L&D/OR where scrubs are provided
• Free parking available near the facility
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Previous employees must wait at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination compliance required per facility policy
