Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds, averaging 105 daily census
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6
• Floating required to cover the Observation Unit (ER Hold patients)
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (ENPC preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with pediatric and adult ED patient populations preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and triage preferred
• Experience with trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate consideration at applicable bill rate

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• May float between sister facilities within the system as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days and must be requested upfront during submission
• Scrubs may be self-provided but must not include prints
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be submitting within 50 miles of the facility
• Only one submission allowed at a time to Providence facilities system-wide
