Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN with a NC or compact license and 1+ years of experience for day shift coverage.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM), 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules accepted
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Epic charting system preferred
- Bi-weekly orientation schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric Step Down, or PICU experience preferred
- Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, ECMO, post cardiac surgery, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- Skills in ventilator management, arterial line management, and central line care preferred
- 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a cardiovascular ICU setting, including those with congenital heart disease and post-cardiac surgery needs
- Monitor and manage patients on ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius, with lower bill rate applying
- Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed there within the past 6 months
- RTO requests limited to a maximum of 5-7 days
