Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVICU RN for a Cardiovascular/Progressive Care Unit position requiring cardiac ICU experience with ventilator and vasoactive drip management.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU/Progressive Care Unit setting with 15 beds
• 2:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 7:00am-7:30pm (3x12s)
• Common procedures include post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float to other units such as Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit
• 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) required per 6-week schedule for a 13-week contract
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/ICU experience required
• Experience with ventilator management and vasoactive drips required
• Open heart, balloon pump, and CRRT experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and US Social Security number required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac and cardiovascular ICU patients
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers will not be considered
• Requests for time off must be less than one week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
