Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac/Neuro IR position requiring 2+ years of service line experience and strongly preferred neurointerventional expertise.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit covering both Hendrick Main campus and Hendrick South
• 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call requirements include weekday coverage 4:45 PM to 7:30 AM and weekend coverage 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, once every sixth week
• Performs vascular studies and procedures including carotid stenting, dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions, EVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and TIPS
• Performs abdominal and pelvic procedures including embolization, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, and stent placement
• Performs neurological procedures including embolization, stent placement, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Performs genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy

Requirements

• ARRT(R) and BLS required; ARRT(VI) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the IR service line required
• Neurointerventional experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Radius rules apply based on discipline: 150 miles for RN/LVN and 50 miles for Allied/CNA roles
• Clinicians must be able to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting an offer or provide a completion plan
