Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT/R certification for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient populations include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU (Pediatric Acute Care, Level I and II Trauma preferred)
• Performs abdomen and pelvis CT studies with and without contrast
• Additional preferred skills include head, spine, chest, and vascular CT imaging, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, radiation therapy planning, and transplant studies
• Utilizes PACS system and Toshiba CT equipment
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) image processing experience preferred
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• May be required to float between sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required, BLS required, Fluoro Permit preferred
• Valid state license required at time of submission (compact license must be in hand); license required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, Level I Trauma, and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• Experience with portables, C-Arm, OR, NICU, PICU, and ICU imaging preferred
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing abdominal, pelvic, and other CT imaging studies per physician orders
• Works within a hospital radiology/cardiology CT department supporting acute and outpatient patient care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Candidates should submit all time-off requests upfront prior to starting the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers not considered for this assignment
