Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a full-float position requiring 4 years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- ICU full-float position rotating across multiple campus locations within the same health system, each about 15 minutes apart with shuttle transport available
- Travelers may be scheduled at a different campus each shift and will be notified 2 hours prior to start time of reporting location
- 13-week assignment
- 3x12 Day/Night rotating shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, scheduled as needed
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required as needed across campuses
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 4 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Care for critically ill patients requiring advanced ICU interventions including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of vasoactive and sedation drips
- Skills such as central line management, arterial line management, CRRT, and cardiac monitoring are utilized in this role
- Experience with cardiovascular procedures (e.g., IABP, TAVR, post cardiac surgery care) and neurological care (e.g., EVD, ICP monitoring, stroke management) is valued
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
