Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level II experience.
Details
- Acute Care Inpatient PT unit within a Trauma Level II facility with Stroke Certification
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Schedule is Monday-Friday with 3 required weekend shifts per 6 weeks (Saturday or Sunday)
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- May be required to float to sister facilities within the state
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- CA PT license required (license pending not accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care PT experience required
- Trauma Level II experience highly preferred; must be comfortable working independently in this environment if no trauma experience
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for submission
- License required if applicable

- Facility is a 488-bed acute care hospital
- Free parking available
- Scrub color varies by department; OR scrubs provided
- Unlikely to work on major holidays but may work days surrounding them
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- First-time travelers accepted if they have acute care and trauma experience
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- RTO must be submitted at time of application; minimal additional RTO can be accommodated post-submission
- Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and location
