Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of critical care experience for an acute care night shift position managing adult ventilator patients.
Details
- Acute care inpatient/ED respiratory therapy unit
- Adult patient population
- Manages 5-6 ventilators per shift
- Uses 840/980, V60, and Vapotherm equipment
- Draws and analyzes ABGs from arterial lines and punctures
- Assists with intubations
- Epic EMR used
- Night shift, 1800-0630, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Possible holiday requirement
- No call or standby requirement
- No floating required
- Never the sole RT in-house; leads on each shift also carry a workload
- Hospitalist/Intensivist available in-house
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of critical care and mechanical ventilation experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- RRT preferred; CRT will be considered
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of practice; license required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
