Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring DC licensure, ACLS/BLS, and at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule, either 7:00-15:30 or 9:00-17:30 based on staffing needs
• No call requirements
• No weekend requirements
• No major holiday coverage required
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Scrubs provided for this unit

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required in hand
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required within the last 7 years
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required for consideration
• Skills required in assisting with central line insertion and management, starting and maintaining IVs, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, monitoring procedural sedation, ventilator management, and PA lines
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment

Additional Information

• Facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 402 staffed beds
• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
