Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Epic experience and the ability to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units.

Details

• Float Pool unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Must be able to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Day shift schedule, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM, 36-48 hrs/wk
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience in the last 3 months
• No prior negative licensure actions allowed

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care using the nursing process for an assigned patient population
• Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care across disciplines
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Provides patient and family education as part of care delivery
• Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• No radius rule applies, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
