Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification and high-volume outpatient imaging experience to travel between outpatient clinics in Chapel Hill.

Details

• Outpatient diagnostic radiology setting requiring travel between multiple outpatient clinics within Chapel Hill
• High-volume environment including pediatric patients
• Uses Ortho, C-ARM, Siemens, DECA, Care Stream, and Sectra PACS/Eos equipment
• EPIC experience preferred along with RIS, CIS, PACS, SMS, and HIS systems
• Day shift schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend opportunities available
• Must be able to work UNC holidays if needed

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiography required
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually
• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
• No prior experience required
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting and ionizing radiation safety protocols
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures adhering to departmental protocols and policies
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, exam orders, and image quality before transmitting to PACS
• Document completion or cancellation of procedures in RIS with appropriate comments
• Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and confirm pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation
• Assess patient condition and coordinate additional medical personnel or equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report equipment issues to appropriate resources
• Share technical knowledge with staff and students within the work unit
• First-time travelers may be considered
