Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool night shift position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry patient population
- 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday shifts expected
- Float required to like units and overflow areas
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam
- Documented professional development activities required
- Knowledge of critical paths required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding with only one attempt allowed
Additional Information
- Care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients while floating to similar units and overflow areas as needed
- Dysrhythmia and Medication tests are administered via Zoom prior to assignment start and must be completed within 48 hours of offer, requiring an 85% passing score with no remediation or re-sit opportunity
- Required vaccines include COVID vaccine plus booster and Flu (medical exemptions allowed)
- No more than three days of RTO will be approved, and no holiday RTO will be approved
- All RTO requests must be presented at time of consideration
- Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must complete a 6-month break before returning
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted for this position
