Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting and PALS certification.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (Cardio PICU) unit of a Level I trauma hospital
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Float requirement to PICU, NICU, and Stepdown units
- Commitment to 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week scheduling block, with weekend dayshifts covering Saturdays and Sundays
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
- Current BLS and PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a variety of pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in the Cardio PICU
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, including monitoring, documentation, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; no push starts allowed
- Onboarding requirements, including drug screens and background checks, must begin immediately upon engagement creation
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or end of assignment
- Returning workers may extend a contract once for up to 26 weeks total, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
