Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 3+ years of OR experience, prior travel assignment experience, and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit with 41 ORs at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, starting at 0645 with occasional float to 0845 or 1045 starts
- Occasional float to night shift, no more than 3 shifts per contract
- Float to other OR units within the health system as needed
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Weekend coverage required as needed per unit
- On-call requirements as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period
- Cases include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery procedures
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
- Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- Experience with gynecologic, plastics, neurology, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures including craniotomy circulating
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates previously employed by the health system within the last two years will not be considered
- Resources who completed a full year on assignment will not be rebooked for at least one year
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per contract, with blackout periods restricting time off during select weeks in September, October/November, and December/January
- No blocked scheduling requests allowed
- Local candidates accepted
