Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team RN with ultrasound-guided IV placement experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated children's hospital.
Details
- Work on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team in an acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level I trauma and NICU Level III/IV designation
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to young adult
- Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours) with start times of 7am, 11am, and 7pm
- Weekend shifts required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Performs ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, PICC line insertion, and implanted port access
- Responsible for vascular access device insertion, site assessment, patency assessment, and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Prior experience on a pediatric vascular access team required (e.g., HemeOnc, ICU)
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required
- Skilled in vascular access device management including PICC lines and implanted ports
- 2 verified professional references required from 2 of the last 3 facilities worked, each from different facilities

- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a rate differential
- Scrubs may be any solid color for most units; OR scrubs provided, SPT scrubs any color but not provided
