Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access RN requiring 2 years of pediatric vascular access experience and ultrasound-guided IV placement skills.
Details
- Work on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team in an acute care hospital
- Pediatric to adult patient population requiring vascular access services
- Performs ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement using vein finder technology
- Manages vascular access devices including PICC lines and implanted ports
- Responsible for insertion procedures, site/vessel selection, and patency assessment
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Day/night rotation with shift start times of 7am, 11am, and 7pm
- 12-hour shifts rotating between 7AM-7:30PM, 11AM-11:30PM, and 3PM-3:30AM
- Weekend shifts required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric vascular access team experience required
- Experience in HemeOnc or ICU settings preferred for pediatric vascular access background
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required
- Skilled in insertion, management, and troubleshooting of vascular access devices
- Experience with neonatal and pediatric patient populations required
Additional Information
- Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma center with a Level III/IV NICU
- Scrubs may be any solid color for most units; OR scrubs provided, SPT scrubs any color but not provided
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility at a reduced rate differential
