Description

American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
• 1:20 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
• No floating expected within the facility, but travelers may float between sister facilities
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, pending licenses accepted but must be active by start date
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
• Hospital experience is required
• Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening
• Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and InterQual Criteria utilization preferred
• Knowledge of CMS and Department of Health regulatory standards preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for care coordination and discharge planning within an acute care hospital setting
• Scrubs or business attire accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply pending clinical screening
