Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB-GYN position requiring prior L&D and nursery experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the OB/GYN combined unit (LDRP) of a 6-bed acute care hospital
• Unit covers labor and delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and newborn nursery including pre-transition newborn care
• Serves patients of all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for laboring mothers in a couplet care model
• Uses CPM and MedHost EHR systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend work required, with on-call and floating as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous OB, labor and delivery, and nursery experience required
• Knowledge of intrapartum and postpartum care along with nursery care required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide intrapartum and postpartum nursing care along with newborn nursery support
• Team-oriented role requiring a positive attitude and collaborative approach
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but non-facility associated attire is not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
