Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care/ICU Stepdown Unit requiring at least 1 year of recent PCU experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed ICU Stepdown/PCU unit at a cardiac center of excellence
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift team includes 1 charge RN, 5 nurses, and 3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge RN, 5 nurses, and 2 PCTs
• Utilizes telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
• Performs procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• Administers drips such as heparin, tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, lasix, and ketamine
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Scheduled shift from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of current PCU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cardiac or extensive neuro experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
