Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Telemetry Float for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring MA RN licensure and float experience across telemetry units.
Details
- Tele Float position requiring float coverage to all telemetry units
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) scheduling
- 48 hours per week
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be available to work all 7 days of the week
- Epic EMR preferred
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and wound care
- Experience with chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management preferred
- Experience with CVA, traumatic brain injury, and ortho trauma care preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam and medication exam during orientation with one attempt allowed; failure results in contract cancellation
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Float position with expectation to work across all telemetry units
- First-time travelers accepted only if they have prior floating experience
- Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews (FDIs) to support exam preparation
- One of three upcoming major holidays may be included in RTO request
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Mother Baby/Postpartum, Ambulatory, OR, SACU, and Psych units are exempt from the telemetry testing requirement
