Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department setting, combined Adult/Pediatric
- Level I Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
- Average patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Open to block scheduling
- Assigned to one campus with possibility of rotating to other campuses
- Travelers do not staff trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required, pending license accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications preferred
- 2 years of ER experience preferred; will consider 1.5 years from a similar hospital or 1-2 completed travel assignments with 3+ years of experience
- Travel experience required
- Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic patient populations
- 1 professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of acute and trauma presentations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and behavioral health cases
- Royal blue scrub color required
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
- Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are considered local
- Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
