Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level 2 trauma facility requiring 2+ years of ER experience and FL/compact RN license.
Details
- Level 2 trauma Emergency Department with 22 beds
- High acuity ED managing complex patient cases
- Patient ratios of 3-4:1
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- EMR: Epic
- Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the primary facility
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required in similarly sized facilities and EDs
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
- Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Deliver emergency nursing care to a high acuity patient population with complex medical needs
- Travelers are integrated into the unit and expected to function as core staff
- Strong team culture with emphasis on flexibility and collaboration
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, strictly enforced
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Orientation begins on a Friday, with in-person attendance required for badge and ID processing, followed by remote orientation
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to starting the assignment, as RTO requests will not be approved after the start date
- Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
- Candidates must provide complete demographic information (address, email, DOB, SSN, RN license number) for consideration
