Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting with 2+ years of acute care and Trauma Level II experience required.
Details
- Acute Care Inpatient PT unit within a Trauma Level II facility with Stroke Certification
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday
- Required to work 3 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week period
- May float to a sister facility nearby
- Uses Epic for charting
- No on-call requirements
- Unlikely to work holidays, but may work days on either side of holidays
Requirements
- Active CA PT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of acute care experience required, with ability to work independently
- Trauma experience highly preferred; if none, must be comfortable working independently in a trauma environment
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Skilled in acute care assessment, orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary conditions, and use of assistive and adaptive devices
- Experience with documentation including evaluations, plans of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation across orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary patient populations
- Works independently within a high-acuity trauma environment
- First-time travelers accepted if they have acute care and trauma experience
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Minimal RTO accommodated; requests must be submitted upfront
