Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years in a similar setting.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts from 7p-7a in the L&D/Mother Baby unit
• Patient population includes pregnancies over 20 weeks and post-op GYN patients of childbearing age
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for early labor without epidural or pitocin, 1:2-3 for antepartum, and 1:6 for mother/baby or well baby care
• Requires four weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, with Friday and Saturday nights considered weekend shifts
• May be required to work the Labor Day holiday
• No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Labor & Delivery setting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in circulating Cesarean Sections, postpartum care, well baby newborn care, and couplet care
• Experience scrubbing and/or assisting Cesarean Sections preferred but not required

• Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and well baby newborn services
• Unit is staffed primarily by RNs
• Scrubs are provided
• Orientation dates available on 11/2, 11/9, or 11/16
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
