Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist/Radiologic Technologist for a night shift role requiring current ARRT (R)(CT) registration and 2+ years of CT experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment in a diagnostic imaging department performing radiographic and CT procedures
• Full-time night shift rotation of 4 nights one week and 3 nights the next (Wed-Sat/Thur-Sat), 1930-0700
• Initial training will take place during day shift hours
• No call requirement
• Performs radiographic procedures in operating rooms, emergency rooms, recovery rooms, and patient rooms using portable equipment

Requirements

• Must be CT registered, not just experienced
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Must have graduated from an approved ARRT program
• Active state license required if applicable
• Proficient in determining proper radiographic and CT technique, patient positioning, and radiation safety protocols including ALARA

Additional Information

• Provides quality patient care while performing radiographic and CT procedures with attention to special patient populations including pregnant, trauma, elderly, and pediatric patients
• Transports patients to and from the department and assists with transfers between bed, gurney, and exam table
• Ensures required consent forms are signed and obtains relevant patient history prior to exams
• Documents patient reactions and allergy history as needed and communicates findings to the physician
• Practices sterile technique and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination
• Located in Salida, Colorado, a scenic mountain destination
