Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU position requiring at least 2 years of NICU III/IV experience, including 1 year in a Level IV NICU, and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a Level IV NICU within a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center
- Care for neonates across a range of gestational ages, including those less than 24-28 weeks
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
- Day/Night rotation, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 / 1900-0730)
- Required to work 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
- Orientation week may include 8-hour shifts
- Uses Epic charting system
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA only) required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years total NICU III/IV experience, with at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU required
- Epic experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
- Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide specialized neonatal intensive care within a Magnet-designated, Level One Pediatric Trauma Center setting
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Prior Level IV NICU travel assignment preferred; first-time travelers with Level IV NICU experience will be considered
- References are not required for consideration
- Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
