Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Level 1 trauma teaching facility experience and recent EPIC proficiency.
Details
- Float Pool position within Medical Surgical/Telemetry units at a hospital
- Floating required to support areas including hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, general surgery, neurology (including neuro SDU), neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN, as well as ED Boarders and surge areas
- Travelers float first within the central pool
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Scheduling requires flexibility with a minimum of every other weekend
- No block schedules permitted
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience at a large Level 1 trauma, academic teaching facility required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type required for consideration
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across multiple med/surg and telemetry-related specialty units as part of a float pool team
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
- Local candidates accepted
- Local rate applies within 50 miles and radius rate applies between 50-100 miles
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
